International Training Programme (ITP):
(Sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, GOI, under ITEC/SCAAP programme)

In the last decade The English and Foreign Languages University has developed into a renowned training centre for foreign professionals seeking to improve their proficiency in English. It has set up an International Training Programme (ITP) which offers the course Progress to Proficiency three times a year. The International Training Programme received its impetus from the ITEC/SCAAP scholarships offered by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, to developing countries (in Africa, South Asia, South East Asia and Central Asia). The Programme has been hugely successful and has enabled hundreds of foreign nationals of different professions (such as ministers, members of parliament, secretaries, diplomats, teachers, doctors, pilots, police officers, lawyers, auditors, journalists, and government officials) from over 50 countries across the globe to attend customized courses in English at this university. So far twenty eight programmes have been successfully completed


Duration:Each course is spread over 12 weeks (about 250 contact hours and 150 self-study hours). The course is offered at three levels----Basic, Intermediate and Advanced.

Eligibility:Professionals from any field are eligible to apply.
