Post-Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE)

Eligibility:MA in English/English Literature/ Linguistics/ TESL with at least 55% marks is eligible. This minimum requirement may be relaxed for sponsored candidates and in some exceptional cases.

Admission Time: Between April and May

Duration: 2 semesters. (Aug to November and January to April)

Admission Prcedure:Admission is through an entrance test, which will examine your English language proficiency and aptitude for teaching English. Details of the entrance test can be found in the university’s Prospectus.

Mid-stream admission:
Candidates with an MA in English and a PGCTE from EFL-U with at least a Grade B average, or an equivalent, can seek admission directly to Semester 2.
