Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination

The Common Entrance Examination is held under the aegis of The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations. The headquarter is in Santhi Nagar in Thiruvananthapuram. Engineering wannabes who are interested in Bachelor of Agriculture Engineering and Bachelor of Dairy Science and Technology, can write this test. Kerala University, Calicut University, Kannur University, Mahatma Gandhi University and Cochin University of Science and Technology lays emphasis on CEE marks. The examination is usually held in April.

An aggregate of 50% in the Higher Secondary Examination along with 50% in Mathematics and an average of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is the cut-off criteria. It is 45% for the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes and SEBC. Aspirants who have secured diplomas can also take the test. Students who have written their final year papers and are seventeen years of age can also apply.

The application forms can be downloaded from www.cee-kerala.orgBranches of Canara Bank also circulates the application forms. The students belonging to the general category have to dish out Rs.700 for an application form. The SC/ST candidates have to apply in a separate application form which is pink in color and furnish Rs.350. The OEC or the Other Eligible Communities will, however, have to apply in the forms meant for the general category candidates. Separate application forms are not required for application to the different engineering courses. Students who intend to download forms from the internet, will have to enclose a demand draft of Rs.700, addressed to the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application forms can neither be acquired by post, nor are they sold at the Commissioner's office. Those who opt for Dubai to write the examination, will have to enclose a demand of Rs.7000 with their application forms. The examination comprises short questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The apportionment of seats take place by the end of November and the first week of December.
